I don't know about you, but I do love to watch myself a good Holiday inspired film. We've had Netflix since 2009, and I must say that we are super happy with all the films and series they have to offer; especially during the holidays. This year, to continue with tradition, Netflix is bringing a romantic film, which in my opinion, seems like a great film to enjoy cozy next to a fire, on a cold snowy day. Marshmallows in the hot cocoa? Yes please! Check out Netflix's 'Let it Snow', coming this November 8th.

I don't know about you, but I'm so ready for the upcoming films of both Star Wars and Frozen II. One of my favorite phrases ever since I was a kid, has been 'Hakuna Matata'. Not only for what it means, but for the beautiful memories it brings from my childhood. I watched this movie with my mom and brother, and my mom loved it so much, that she would play the soundtrack every time she got the chance. You can only imagine which of the songs stuck more in my head, haha. Needless to say, the film had some beautiful messages about family, and stunning images that have always been close to my heart. No wonder why it was also the favorite Disney film of many of my friends. Now as adults, when we heard about the remake as a 'live-action' version of the film, we were beyond thrilled to see our favorite characters, the way they would have look in real life. Many of my friends were very excited to share their personal experience from when they were kids, with their own kids. These are the kind of feelings that you can't really explain with words, but strongly leaves you marked with joy and happiness. 

You really gotta hand it to Disney, to bring images from our imaginations into stories that give you the sense that dreams can becoming a reality. Are you a big fan of Disney's The Lion King? Well guess what? You can also sing Hakuna Matata and all the wonderful songs of this film, right at home, while watching your favorite characters come to life, this October. Should I be bold enough to say that if you grew up between the 80's and 90's, in North America, you should without a doubt, know who Selena y Los Dinos where? This is where I explain. I was never big into TexMex music at all. However, something that my mom used to do, was, that no matter what kind of music we were particularly into at that time, she would just play a diverse array of music in every road trip; and we traveled a lot. There was only one condition, the music had to be good. Selena's music was so good, that I can proudly say that I know all of the songs in this upcoming Lullaby renditions of Selena. In fact, as I was reading the list of songs, not just one, but all of them got stuck in my head like a very cool remix. Now, with this release that Rockabye baby has created in honor of Selena's music, you can do as my mom did, and introduce such a talented artist to your little ones from a very early age, with a selection of some of her most popular songs. And if I may say, some of the most beautiful ones too. You don't have to be Hispanic, nor Latino to love Selena's music. They are catchy, beautiful, and it is in embracing diversity, that we become richer as human beings: It's the biggest treasure there is.

Yes! It's that time again. The time to re-live all the clashing emotions of Marvel Studios' Avengers:Endgame, as we celebrate the release of the film, for home entertainment, with yet another fun movie-night. It's been eleven years, since we hopped into this superhero ride, not knowing what it would all lead to until this film was released. And now, it is time to watch our favorite superheroes, one more time, as they try to fix Thanos' chaos, but from the comfort of our own home. You know, it definitely makes it easier with the tissues and all, haha. There is no doubt that we are huge fans of the Marvel franchise. Anything and everything MCU, we love and feel a bit connected to. However, I must confess that I became a little obsessed with Captain Marvel, ever since the movie arrived to theaters last March. That is why we were overly excited to celebrate the release of Marvel Studios' Captain Marvel for Home Entertainment, at our blog. And by "we" I mean mostly me, hahaha. While we have been counting down the days until the release of Marvel Studios' Avengers: Endgame, some very lucky fans joined in the action earlier this week, alongside the creators and cast of the film. With Marvel Studios' Avengers:Endgame just around the corner, some of us may feel a clash of emotions, as that is how they left us ever since the previous film. However, here we are, knowing that the end is near, and while we wait, still finding that what we thought we knew wasn't quite the whole picture. Just a fair warning with this post. I am very passionate about the MCU, because I have been a comic book fan since I was a kid. With that being said, in this blog post I am sharing a few of my thoughts about the upcoming film, which also include some spoilers if you haven't seen the last 43 films in the franchise (Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man & The Wasp, and Captain Marvel). With this in mind, read at your own risk. I don't want to spoil these previous movies if you haven't watched them, but if that's your case, why haven't you? You still have some time before Endgame, which will be playing in theaters in less than a month (April 26th, 2019). I can't believe its been already 30 years since I sat down at the movie theater alongside my brother and my grandmother, and fell in love with this movie. Maybe "falling in love" is actually to light to what actually happened. I became obsessed with this story. It was already my favorite bedtime story, but I never thought there could actually be a happy ending until I saw Disney's version. It was all I could think of. Day and night, The little mermaid everything. You can only imagine my delight, when we were thinking of baby names and my husband actually chose 'Ariel' if it was a girl. I was like: "Really?" It seems like even up to the date, many of my childhood memories revolve around this adventurous mermaid and her adventures. All I can say is that I feel so happy every time someone asks me what my all-time favorite movie is, because the answer will always be the same Disney's "The Little Mermaid".
