I can't believe its been already 30 years since I sat down at the movie theater alongside my brother and my grandmother, and fell in love with this movie. Maybe "falling in love" is actually to light to what actually happened. I became obsessed with this story. It was already my favorite bedtime story, but I never thought there could actually be a happy ending until I saw Disney's version. It was all I could think of. Day and night, The little mermaid everything. You can only imagine my delight, when we were thinking of baby names and my husband actually chose 'Ariel' if it was a girl. I was like: "Really?" It seems like even up to the date, many of my childhood memories revolve around this adventurous mermaid and her adventures. All I can say is that I feel so happy every time someone asks me what my all-time favorite movie is, because the answer will always be the same Disney's "The Little Mermaid".
