One of my favorite phrases ever since I was a kid, has been 'Hakuna Matata'. Not only for what it means, but for the beautiful memories it brings from my childhood. I watched this movie with my mom and brother, and my mom loved it so much, that she would play the soundtrack every time she got the chance. You can only imagine which of the songs stuck more in my head, haha. Needless to say, the film had some beautiful messages about family, and stunning images that have always been close to my heart. No wonder why it was also the favorite Disney film of many of my friends. Now as adults, when we heard about the remake as a 'live-action' version of the film, we were beyond thrilled to see our favorite characters, the way they would have look in real life. Many of my friends were very excited to share their personal experience from when they were kids, with their own kids. These are the kind of feelings that you can't really explain with words, but strongly leaves you marked with joy and happiness. 

You really gotta hand it to Disney, to bring images from our imaginations into stories that give you the sense that dreams can becoming a reality. Are you a big fan of Disney's The Lion King? Una de mis frases favoritas de mi infancia, ha sido 'Hakuna Matata'. No solo por lo que representa, sino por los hermosos recuerdos que trae a mí, en cuanto a esta película. La primera vez que vi el filme, fue con mi mamá y mi hermano. A mi madre le encantó tanto, que vivía poniendo el soundtrack de la película cada que tenía la oportunidad de hacerlo. Ya se imaginarán cual era la canción que más traía en la cabeza, jaja. La verdad es que era muy contagiosa, y aún me encanta. Esto sin contar los hermosos mensajes que el filme muestra, y las gráficas que tuvieron un gran impacto en mi corazón. ¿Qué les puedo decir? Como dibujante, soy fan de los trabajos de animación. Pero de igual forma, por ello no me sorprende que esta sea la historia favorita de muchos de mis amigos. Por ello, cuando supimos que iban a hacer una versión realista del filme, a como lo ha hecho Disney desde hace años, mis amigos y yo nos emocionamos bastante. Era una forma de transmitir la felicidad que nos causó la película, y transmitir esos sentimientos indescriptibles con los peques de la familia. Que forma tan increíble de ver a nuestros personajes favoritos cobrar vida, de una forma que solo Disney puede lograr con su magia. Así que si eres fan de El Rey León de Disney, ¿que crees? Pues déjenme platicarles que la versión para hogar saldrá a la venta en octubre, wohoo! Justo a tiempo para mi cumpleaños, wink**
